Sarah Lambert Recognized for her Work Regarding the Flint Water Crisis

Block Law Firm attorney Sarah Lambert was recently recognized for her valuable contribution to the body of research and legal analysis surrounding the Flint Water Crisis – the well-known public health crisis impacting the drinking water of Flint, Michigan.

Sarah’s article, The Collapse of Democracy: The Flint Water Crisis from a Human Rights Perspective, co-written with Professor Jeanne Woods, was recently cited in Stetson Law Review’s Spring 2026 issue, in an article written by Professor Adam Wright.

Sarah’s original article examined the crisis through a human right’s perspective – through the right to participate in one’s own government and the dire, and deadly, consequences that can occur when that right is taken away. Wright’s article now examines the crisis through a criminal lens – as a white-collar crime – and details the criminal justice system’s failure to address it.
